I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and I have been in private practice for over 27 years. In that time I have helped hundreds of adults and couples deal with the challenges and roadblocks that get in the way of living rich and meaningful lives. Here is what I believe: I believe that within each of us lies a deep soul wisdom, a guiding light that holds our purpose for being here – in this body, this personality, this family, this environment. My purpose and my passion is to help others get in touch with that guiding wisdom – by dismantling the roadblocks and the confusion that stand in the way. This is my work, and I find it deeply meaningful and satisfying to be of help where and when I can.
As a psychotherapist and an educator, I have long been deeply involved in the study and practice of Jungian thought and dream analysis and relational psychotherapy combined with a focus to the body-mind connection. I have a M.A. in Psychology from the University of Norwich (1990) in which I focused on Jungian and archetypal psychology. My other credentials include: Certified Focusing Trainer, (2000, The International Focusing Institute), Certified Yoga Teacher, (Yoga Centre Toronto 1985) and Certified RLT Therapist (2017). I have been a Clinical Member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists since 1996. I am also an associate consultant at www.management-transitions.com.
I have a practice in downtown Toronto, near Avenue Rd. and Davenport (close to Rosedale subway) as well as with Lara Sigurdson & Associates at 218 Bayfield St. in Barrie, ON.
